A demanding technique, specific equipment

The technique known as eging, born in Japan, demands extreme precision and sensitivity. The concept is simple: animate an Egi lure (Egi) to imitate the jerky movements of an injured prey. But in practice, every gesture, every tension on the line, every release counts. This is why an Eging rod is not a simple spinning rod: it is designed to cast Egi lures of sizes 2.5 to 4.0 at long distances, while feeling the slightest suction of a squid.

Modern models use extremely responsive, high-modulus blanks. This architecture allows you to perfectly control jerks, while detecting the slightest bite, even at long range.

Japanese brands have elevated Eging to an art form.
